Motherhood is like a little secret society. One of hardship and joy and lost dreams replaced with brand new shiny ones. And it’s so important to me, as a sufferer of maternal loneliness when starting out on this journey, to champion other mums, because we are absolute superstars, each and every one of us.

As such, here are some of my favourite mama ventures, posts and accounts, handpicked from me to you ❤️

Rose & Moo {bracelet pictured}
My favourite indie shop, from one of my favourite group chat residents, Rose and Moo is the perfect destination for a little custom something. Run by close-knit sisters, Rose and Miri, the brand specialises in personalised clothing, homeware and jewellery, always going out of their way to make each piece extra special. I happen to own an item from each of their three core categories, and cannot fault the quality, or the customer service. You can find their shop, here.

Stacey Solomon
The most upbeat and mood lifting Instagram account I have ever encountered, and the first thing I check on my phone in the mornings. Well worth a follow, if only for baby Rex updates. @staceysolomon (Her Loose Women segments on motherhood are also worth a watch, you can find them on the Loose Women YouTube account. I find her very relatable)

We Are Wildchild
So homeschooling became a real thing this year, huh? I, for one, was very relieved not to have to juggle a school age child and a full time job when everything went down, and have the utmost respect for anyone that did. However, not being in that situation myself doesn’t mean I can’t appreciate a small business venture helping other mothers to educate their offspring. Enter We Are Wildchild, a fantastic resource for those that want to teach their children at home, from a really amazing mum. Lessons are downloadable from the website, here. And the first lesson plan is free so, really, what do you have to lose?

The Larson House Adoption Series
I have loved following the adoption story of Elsie Larson, superblogger behind A Beautiful Mess. Along with her husband, Jeremy, the busy wonder mum has completed two successful overseas adoptions, bringing home two beautiful girls from China. Now, she is sharing a series on adoption, helping to lift the unfair stigma that still surrounds this path into motherhood. You can read her adoption posts, here.

Chrissy Teigen’s Story Of Loss
Chrissy Teigen, model and masterchef wife of John Legend, lost a baby at the start of October, due to a series of pregnancy complications. Having documented her journey in both pregnancy and the problems that came with it, Chrissy went on to suffer a very public loss. And instead of hiding from it, she opened up about it, here. Baby loss is so common, and so devastating, and it’s something we need to talk about more. Hopefully this piece goes a way toward opening up conversations.

& Some Honourable Mentions
Dee & Bella Clothing. We have one of their rompers (Rory’s ‘daytime comfies’), and it is adorable
Hand drawn Christmas decorations by Sophie C
Zip up bananas housing tiny monkeys, by The Old Wooden Lady
Personalised (with your children’s drawings!!!) designer bags by Honey and Toast
The ‘no sleep club’ range by Eleanor Bowmer (mug pictured)
And personalised wands by Annie Bea Designs

Please feel free to share your own mama-lead ventures/accounts/anything in the comments, or on Instagram ❤️
