Katy Keene
Set to the glittering backdrop of New York City, Katy Keene is a whimsical flirtation of fashion, friendship and unbridled dreaming. Starring Lucy Hale, of Pretty Little Liars fame, this fun-filled show is a whirlwind of uber girly clothing, drag shows and slightly unrealistic characters that nonetheless have a lot of heart, and are the perfect palate cleanser between toddler-sized finger foods and games of peepo {Available on BBC IPlayer}

Emily In Paris
Upon finding out her boss is pregnant, and therefore unable to relocate to France to co-ordinate a merger, American Emily – soon-to-be marketing superstar on the rise – ups sticks and moves to Paris. There, she becomes a social media superstar thanks to her seemingly very ordinary Instagram updates (amazing how easily people on TV manage that), creates a tight knit group of friends, and begins a flirtation with the handsome Parisian downstairs. Again mildly unrealistic yet utterly captivating, Emily In Paris is the kind of trash TV that goes well with a bar of chocolate, a cup of tea, and an hour of the kind of quiet that only comes when a baby is sleeping {Available on Netflix}

A Nice Girl Like You
Again starring Lucy Hale, A Nice Girl Like You boasts a bio not dissimilar to that of a soft core porno. And while that may sound exciting to some, this movie is in fact more of a fun romcom, with a sexy twist. Centred on an uptight list maker on a mission to prove she’s not a prude, A Nice Girl Like You showcases the funny side of attempting to be sexy (tingling lube accidentally used as lip gloss, anyone?) with a love story to boot {Available on Netflix}

Holidate
It’s Christmaaaaas! And who can resist a Christmas movie starring Emma Roberts? Not me. Sloane is in her late twenties, one of three children, and the owner of a very overbearing mother, desperate to set her up with any single man that crosses her path. Jackson is a commitment phobe, looking for a date to casual holiday events. Enter the holidate agreement, a plan that see’s the two dating one another exclusively on national holidays, no sex allowed. But will love get in the way of their plan to be casual? Only one way to find oouuuuutttt (Obviously, it does, but let’s pretend we haven’t all watched this story play out a million times) {Available on Netflix}

My Christmas Inn
And, last but not least, a sappy Hallmark-esque Christmas movie, about a high powered city woman who inherits an inn in a small Alaskan town, where she falls in love with the charms of a simpler life. The perfect ‘manic morning with the baby’ and ‘manic afternoon with the baby’ circuit breaker, even if it does take a few nap sesh’s to watch until the end {Available on Netflix}
